About the Speaker: Rick Guttersohn, LLMSW is a social worker dedicated to helping individuals and organizations experience healing, transformation and growth. Prior to his work as a counselor, coach, and consultant, he had a successful career as an Executive Director, transforming a declining nonprofit into one of the premier grief support organizations in Southeastern Michigan. 
 
Rick’s leadership philosophy and approach is influenced by his years of experience working with people after a loss. He received his MSW from Wayne State University with a concentration in social work leadership, and received his BSW from Spring Arbor University.  Rick also completed a two year ministry internship leading small groups and serving people in recovery. Prior to social work, Rick spent ten years in retail management and sales before changing career paths and dedicating his life to serving others.
