PROFESSIONAL WOMEN'S ALLIANCE LUNCHEON
Presented by Baptist Health South Florida
GUEST SPEAKER: Holocaust Survivor Sally Dauman
The Professional Women's Alliance (PWA) of the Coral Springs Regional Chamber of Commerce is designed to empower, enlighten and inspire women in business.
Please join the Coral Springs Chamber of Commerce Professional Women's Alliance for lunch and an opportunity to meet and network with local business owners and professionals.
Did you know April is Genocide Awareness and Prevention Month? This month marks the important anniversaries of those that have in one way or another been affected by past genocides. As we all know, the Holocaust was a terrible and defining episode of the 20th century, which undoubtedly changed the course of history. To support activists as they take action in their communities this April, the Professional Women's Alliance (PWA) of Coral Springs Regional Chamber of Commerce has teamed up with the Jewish Federation Services, Holocaust Jewish Family Services and others to help raise awareness.
Join us as we Honor Holocaust Survivor Sally Dauman, 92 years old, to raise the voices of those that have been affected and to never forget. "We must be remembered. History must be remembered," says Sally. "The purpose is to preserve the memories and educate one another." Sally has been speaking about her experience as a survivor openly ever since World War II ended. She was just 12 years old when it began and a member of the child survivors club. She was the ninth born out of 10 siblings. Sally survived six years through three concentration camps along with three of her sisters - before they were reunited with three of their brothers and liberated by a group of German teachers and church followers in 1946. She came to the U.S. with her husband in 1949 motivated to start a new life. Hear her inspiring and courageous story of how she never gave up and overcame all odds.
We hope you will join us for this special event as we honor Holocaust survivor, Sally Dauman, and remember those who have been impacted by the Holocaust.
