The Coconut Creek Police Department online demonstration of Security Technology ALERT
The Coconut Creek Police Department is hosting a special online demonstration of ALERT – Active Law Enforcement Response Technology – in partnership with School Safety Grant. This program will focus on how this state-of-the-art safety technology and software will make Coconut Creek businesses and the entire community safer. Lee Mandel, the CEO of IntraLogic Solutions, the creators of ALERT, will make a presentation about the software alongside Coconut Creek Chief of Police Albert A. “Butch” Arenal, Lieutenant Scott Slavin. The demo will show the difference between emergency response with and without this technology. The results are dramatic. This cutting-edge technology, first developed for schools, is now being offered to businesses, event venues, malls, hospitals and other mass gathering locations. During an emergency at a business location, ALERT allows for immediate communication with Police Department 9-11 centers giving law enforcement real time access to surveillance cameras, security systems and more. ALERT software immediately connects with cameras, giving police live feeds. Building security systems are accessed and controlled. Police are given floor plans and maps, control of electronic door locks and access control systems as well as PA systems. This technology was developed for schools and now it is available for businesses and is triggered during any emergency from fires and break-ins to health emergencies and even active shooter situations.
